Asus GTX 580 Matrix tri-sli

Hey guys, I recently bought a 3rd 580 off of ebay for a reasonable price. Upon adding the SLI connectors I realised the cable was not long enough. Durp. The cards are on my Rampage 4 Extreme on slots 1 - 4 - 7. And as far as I can see there is no SLI bridge that I can buy... There is a few threads on Google saying they've had success, but I cannot seem to find a 1 - 4 - 7 SLI bridge, I've hunted for one for a good hour now and no luck, all I have is a customer support number for Asus which I'll have to phone later! If anyone can help me out or has one spare, please help me! Haha. :lol:

To sum up I need an TRI-SLI bridge for 3, 3 slot cards. so basically the bridge has to span 7 slots. Thanks. Either that or an SLI cable that is 150mm long!

Do you guys have any suggestions or anything to help me?

Thanks! :)

After hunting high and low, I found a solution, you can email ASRock and for a reasonable fee you can retrieve this very SLI bridge, they're really friendly and an excellent service, as pointed out further down the topic, the ASRock bridge is brown, aesthetically crap, but with a bit of imagination;

You can make it look lovely!

I hope this helps all the other poor buggers searching for one of these things, haha. Stay cool.

The only 1 4 7 bridge ive seen came with an Asrock board, did a bit of google work and found the pic below, the guy contacted the asrock customer support to see if they sold them but they didnt, they ended up selling him one from an RMA'd board for 15 euro, so best bet would be to hit up asrock.

Yeah, thanks man. I've already contacted Asrock and Asus and awaiting replies.. I think I saw the same thread actually.. Thanks for your time man! :) much appreciated.

It seems Asus are completely useless, and their email team is pathetic haha, they said that 1 - 4 - 7 SLI is incompatible... haha I'm even tempted to ask TTL if he has one kicking around.. haha

Right! So I've got a response from ASRock and they're getting one to me for 15 Euros, absolutely brilliant, what service! Haha so I'll have to wait and see!

So all I did was email them on a link I found on their website and emailed them requesting what I wanted, took them a few days to reply with the details of what I needed to do and now I'm awaiting the postage, brilliant guys.

Hope this helps anyone who was in the same mess as me! :)

You'll never guess what! After paying my 15 Euros to ASRock and having one being sent my way, Asus contact me saying they've got one and are sending me out one free of charge. Hahaha! I did have a little chuckle to myself! Bloody hell :lol:

No excuse not to mod one now with a ROG logo if the Asus ones doesnt have one on then :P model paint + some printed out stencils or something.

Haha yeah! I've even ordered the carbon fibre :P And the ROG logo will be simple, I've got a case badge lying around with the logo on it, I think that will look brilliant on it :P

The ASRock bridge arrived, it's been done up and stuck in the rig, very chuffed with it, here a pic of the SLI bridge, check out the Rig Gallery in the future for my rig "Diamond Eyes MK2" MK1 is up at the moment, however it is not named Diamond Eyes. So check it out guys, thanks for your support.
