Yes we've heard about this madness, but HeXus are the first I've seen to grab one and stick it through its paces.

Damn its a bit beast and comes with its own external power supply. That amused me :)

Produces figures almost exactly the same as 7800GTX's in SLI and well: thats pretty damn awesome :)

So looks exciting and HeXus have the gen as well as a full review on its way :)

I really like the idea of graphics cards with external power. The old Voodoo5 (i think it was) used to have one.

IMO, a much better idea than having all the power problems everybody seems to have powering cards in SLI.

Also much cheaper than buying an SLI compliant PSU.

Biggest mistake I can see is the lack of SLi compatibility... What a fucking stupid idea on Asus's part. So many people would be lining up for these if u could run em in SLi.

Not that i've heard Nick. All i've seen is the jumperless switching between 16x and 8x PCI-E.

If you've seen anything about please enlighten us :D

Yes you can use SLi without the link but it does not tield very good results.

Its somewhere in the Tech forum.

If you buy one of these babies you don't want it to perform under par do you? I'd imagine they'd cost a fortune :)

Is that on any board kemp?

Man what a beast. :yumyum: Although this appears to be the same as Gigabytes dual 6800 card, that was reliant on a specific motherboard, and was not able to be run in SLI mode, which blows. I love the external power supply, it's about time they started following this pathway.

@XMS...you can use no bridges--with NO performance loss now. They also allow you SLi, older 6600 Non-GT's that didn't have the SLi bridge. :)
