Has anyone got a mach2 to hold reset on the asus a8v or is everyone using a seperate psu to power the mach2? .I have tried the latest firmware but the same problem occurs - mach2 powers up but does not boot the pc.

Any better solutions than using a seperate PSU?

The Mach II doesn't hold in reset, I believe!

I think that it may be an issue with your firmware! Someone else will probably back me up! There is a software section on the site, that you can get it from!

Flash the Firmware of your Mach II

Mach II Chip-controller Firmware 821 NEW

Do not use this firmware unless you have start-up problems with the AMD 64 / FX compatible motherboards.

Instructions:

1. Save the file to the harddisk.

2. Unzip the the file using a standard decompression tool found here.

3. Start the BOOTLOAD.EXE program. Default Prometeia software installation folder is: "Program Files\Chip-con\Prometeia". Point to the decompressed STE file and start the firmware upload procedure.

Thanks for the replies!

This is how i sorted:-

I did try flash to the latest firmware but i needed to do it like this:-

1.Power up mach2 on seperate psu

2.Boot PC at desired temp

3.Close mach2 control centre

4.open bootloader.exe and flash with the 821 file.

5.shutdown pc and turn off psu connected to mach2

6.Wire Mach2 up normally and turn on pc!!

Seems to work!
