Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and dumb move of the day :)

So... in a rush to get the new computer together over the Christmas break... sure enough I failed to read the instructions :)

So... thinking the bent fins at the bottom of the Freezer 7 should be aimed down towards the Northbridge (?)... applied the paste, tightened 'er down... and voila... seemed to work good.

SpeedFan CPU report:

Temp 1 34degrees

Temp 2 27degrees

Then... after all was together... realized that the fan is competing with the PSU intake... dang... should be pushing towards the back of the case instead.

So... reason for posting this dumb move... ha... so other newbs like me can see how not to do things :)

... and the build continues....

In the Grand scheme of things thats not so dumb, glad you figured it out....

The Freezer has to be one of the best "Values" of all time (except for Frags free 21" monitor):)

Ha... how true about in the grande scheme of things.... but the cumulative effect of these dumb moves is teaching me a lot. :D

Good and bad I guess... have to pull the mobo out again to spin the cooler around... but good in the fact I can clean up some cabling while at it :).

It sure fits nice on this mobo though... and once I figured out how the pins secured it to the board... really liking it. Now I just have to find a speed controller for it to keep it from running wide open all the time :)
