Apology to us Americans

Quality mate!

I thought I heard him say that, but I couldn't hear over my loud fans. Also, I left my truck idling in the driveway after I picked up some greasy fast food so I couldn't hear over that or the "nom-nom" sound I was making while eating. I would have turned the volume up, but my reach was a few inches shy of the volume nob and I wasn't about to move my lazy ass.

I wasn't offended and I don't like loud fans.

Funny how they find it disrespectful, but they pride themselves on Nascar (loud) and muscle cars (loud). Interesting that they take offense to a joke about them liking loud things, next we will have Australians getting angry about saying they drink beer

We definitely don't pride ourselves on Nascar. I personally can't stand it. Nascar fans are definitely a minority.

Also, muscle cars don't have to be loud. Most in fact just have a deep rumble to them. The louder cars come from the young punks and their modded out 4 cylinders (ricers). Those have a high pitched very loud annoying whine. It will sound like they are doing 60MPH, but actually are idling. I hate those cars. They will put a muffler on them that has a tailpipe on it with an opening the size of a coffee can.

makes me laugh over here with our pimped out boy racer cars ... hahaha 1.2 Ltr fiesta piped out to the max to sound like a 2.1 cav or or thing. pmsl.

That's cos cars here are stupidly expensive

And the insurance as well

In Dubai you can get a Porsche Cayenne for the equivalent of £30k or something (this was 3/4 years ago)

well we pay at least 20% more for everything dont we and in dubai you get paid and you keep all of it tax free... i plan on living there one day lmao

Well the property business wasn't doing well at all when I was there, though my grandfather rents out property there and he has no real issues, and obviously the money will dry up quite soon because the tourism is expensive.

I like the look of Malaysia, Singapore, and perhaps China, for the future, but the UK is great so long as you have money. London especially

Personally i dont mind a loud rig. because i usually have music playing so i cant hear it lol.

But TTL was right Americans like everything big and loud from their cars to their weight.

I'm British/ European (not that I care where I was born) and I love loud rigs, I'd rather have a roaring rig, it makes it feel more powerful IMO. Like a car with a loud engine, so long as it makes a VROOM rather than spluttering noise, louder is better I say

so a celeron with thermaltake fans vs a i7 with some noctuas?

I don't really like loud things, but I do like luxury (and muscle, I'm kinda of a sucker for a Mustang

)cars. Who doesn't like luxury cars though. They're sweet. I've been told that some Lamborghini models have touch (heat sensitive) pads that replace the door handles. I'm OK with loud cars, it's all about the 0 to 60 and the quarter mile time. Pretty much the same for me with fans. Only I get the fans that do what I need them to do (as high CFM / static pressure as I need) at the price I can afford. It's not like I can afford a $125,000 Maserati Quattroporte (I'm 17) and the fuel(1.34 per L, $5.072 per gallon) for a 12 MPG (19.599L per 100KM) car.

yeah... I don't get the obsession yall have with quite rigs. I mean, how are the neighbors supposed to know about my badass watercooling setup if my Delta's dont wake them up at 2am while I'm running prime.

Actually, this is dumb I'm gonna go find the loud rig thread, you guys are lame.

You only need quiet rigs for public places, I don't understand why someone would fuss over an extra 15db when they have a surround sound system pounding out explosions and gunfire
