Its been a couple weeks since i heard any new information on LGA2011 or BD, Anybody heard anything? Im wondering as im getting antcy with my new build, wanting to know which way to go along with prices

LGA2011 is going to be INTEL

and

BD is made by AMD

naw not jelly well maybe a tad lol mainly bored wating on my modded Sniper post to appear. Posted it like 5pmish and its still under review I guess lol
 
hmmmph didnt like my answer???? But Me thinks its the wee hours of the morn over the pond and they be sleepin but from what I gather BD is stll slated for Q3 and IB Q4
 
Intel brought it forward so they can sell some before everyone realizes BD is better lol and prob half the price!
 
Not really a fan boy lol id take intel over AMD anyway if they lowered there prices to the same level i only go amd cause in gaming their cpu's dont make much difference and half the price. Just having a laugh lol.

On another note how many people will upgrade to BD when it comes out ive only just build a phenom x6 build and for gaming i cant see a 8 Core BD making and more difference that would justify buying another MB and cpu. How many will stay at phenom 2 till prices come down or until its worth it?

I think it will be 2 years or until i have a good enough job to change to BD providing intel havnt brought their prices down then i might go with them will have to see.
 
In some actual news, AMD have been rolling out the Llano/Fusion chips. First impressions seem pretty good.

As said there, interesting that the A8 Fusion chips are aiming at 2500k/2600k performance. Makes me wonder where the BDs are now aimed. Sandy Bridge E maybe?

I am also one waiting for any news available on the LGA 2011 chips. It's what is going to be in my new build, so gagging for info! Hopefully nVidia will release something nice and hsiny at the same time!
