Lo all,

I was wandering if anyone knew of anyone in Europe that could fit my Baker head, regass and mod the cap tube of my Mach II now that Marci is no longer taking orders?

Andy

Yes they would a fridge engineer is even better as they deal with the smaller quantity or gas I was going to start doing this myself with my brother as we are both a/c engineers he does fridge and I do a/c but it never realy kicked off the price of r507 was quite a bit at the time and didn't realy get that much interest so we didn't bother plus I wanted to try it out on a mach 1 or cheapo mach 2 first :)

Even just having the Baker head fitted would suffice, as I have it sitting here doing bugger all, which seems a bit of a shame considering.

The procedure itself (regassing that is) doesn't seem too difficult, ( but I would need balls the size of Daz's or Phil's to attempt it on my Mach II :( ) just tuning the unit to optimal cooling based on the thermal output of the chip that seems a PITA.

Edit:

Don't suppose you or your bro be persuaded to do the work for me Fatty? (for a sum of course :) )

Could be done mate but wouldn't want to bork it further lool umm not just that but r507 gas costs a bloody fortune I will have a word with the bro and see what equipment he's got laying around and what gas is your mach 2 stuffed at the moment ie you want a new head does that mean the old one has a leak ???

Nothing wrong with the unit as far as Im aware, just I bought a Baker head and mounting enclosure from www.xtwerkz.com (look under black projects) as its got a universal mounting system, and its the best performing evap out AFAIK.

Its currently running on R134a, but Id prefer R404 or R507 as I have a feeling my new Prescott is gonna give it some gyp.

Hope you can help mate!

R507 costs exactly the same as 134a and 404a. £100 per 10Kg can. You use less than 60g per charge, so one bottle lasts a lifetime.

Will r507 go straight into my mach2 ST?

(sorry if this is common knowledge, haven't been on the forums in a while, *waves at phil* :) )

Just wondering about future upgrades :)

Mine isn't even plugged in atm. Need to know the best way to protect the board before I plug it all back in (MAX3). Is there a thread somewhere which says all the stuff to apply to the board?
