Eh not really. Like was said your missing out on PCI-E 2.0 and HT3.0 but the difference between AM2 and AM2 + dosent give you any real performance gains yet so it makes it useless to spend the money on an AM2+ board if (saying you have a GOOD one) your AM2 board will do just as good.Isn`t it like sticking an AMD x2 in an FSB333 mobo tho

As for PCI-E 2.0 there is no gain yet so no big.
But of course! Plus i think PCI-E2.0 gives you more power through the slot which requires less from the PSU or something like that.Future proofing (although I hate that word) is always a gain

Its quite simple really and the first link i put down explains it all. The current Phenoms have the ability to use the HT3.0 and so do a few boards but right now it dosent make a lick of difference in performance. So it dosent make any difference between a good AM2 board and a good AM2+ board at the moment. Maybe when the higher clocked Phenoms come out it might crack the potential speed increases of HT3.0 but right now its about like PCI-E 2.0. Good technology not being used quite yet.Or u saying these phenoms don`t actually use the double width ? - think I`d be with u if this is the case.
