I remember the treasure hunts for a number of reasons.
1. Frustration and the time needed to search, days even weeks depending on luck or thought process.
2. Envy when someone posts saying they found them in the first 20 mins _ wtf!
3. Joy at finding them after looking at the page with the answer on it for the nth time.
4. Angst as the deadline looms and you still have not found them depsite teh clues.
For me they were bitter sweet then sour as I spent an absolute age searching for the images, over the moon when I found them and then gutted that i was not fortunate enough to win.
I even posted an image from the back of a bus which we were meant to be looking for (pirate) in one of the competitions.
I think for the newbies on the site - you will enjoy them providing you have the time to search, for us vets, I personally will look when i have the time but weigh my efforts against how much i want the prize (as i have done in the past where I gave up after a quick search)
You get rewarded for your efforts if you are lucky enough to be drawn out of the hat and get a good luck around the site at the same time.
At the end of the day its up to the gaffer and a treasure hunt will definatley have more people on the site at one time than not.
