Anyone have any experience with after-market GPU coolers?

Yeah, I think the fan on my reference design GTX 570 doesn't cut it anymore. The fan makes a hell of a lot of noise at high temperatures, and at low ones too! The card is now out of warranty, so I wanted to upgrade to a better cooler for it as I have no real plans of upgrading in the near future...

I was thinking of the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme PLUS II:

Anyone have any experience with such a cooler? Whats the installation like? And are there any better options for me?

Many thanks as always

I had the accelero twin turbo on my old 8800gt, and i have the geiled icy vision on my current 5870.

Both NEVER spin up past minimum fan speeds even with a mid range oc on them, my 8800gt loaded at 50-55c in games and this 5870 never gets past around 40-45c on games.

I did have my 8800gt locked at 60% fan speed as it was nearly impossible to tell if it was any louder than 30% and dropped the load temps down to the 40-45c area, ive not tried the geiled icy vision cooler any higher than the 20% fan speed it sits at by default as i just havent had the need/felt like playing with it.

TL;DR the cooler you listed, the accelero twin turbo or the geiled icy vision will be perfect for what you want, all would be super quiet, it just depends how much you want to spend.
