Anyone else a really bad loser?

I mean, I look at myself after losing and I seem a bloody little kid and I feel so ashamed of myself

I was just playing my 10 year old cousin on Fifa, starts off as fun and I score - excellent

But as soon as I start to show how crap I am at playing it I start blaming the game (it was tbh!) then he scores and I just cannot believe it

He then scores again and I just get more frustrated and really not cool

I do manage to equalise and we go to extra time..he scores again and I almost feel like turning it off but i equalise in the last minute and win on penalties.

I do feel really bad about how worked up I get and I am only writing this now after seeing how bad I got after he thrashed me 2-0 the next game

It can actually ruin my mood all day if I say, lose a game of badminton (which actually happened last week =/)

Anyone else get this? I hate losing or say, being in the losing end of an arguement or discussion :banghead:

grr

Nope, being a good loser is something that I try to instill into my kids (although you can debate the success of my efforts on today's family game of Monopoly lol). If I lose to someone better than me then it drives me to do better next time, and ensure that I don't get whipped so soundly. I'm extremely competitive, but never a poor sport if I lose.

Whilst losing is never a great feeling, I tend not to dwell on it, but look for ways in which I can improve for the future.

I can happily accept that others are indeed much better at some things in life than I will be, and there are other areas that I excel in. We can't all be brilliant at everything so taking losing in your stride is a great trait to have.

I was never so bad lol and maybe it was being bullied that perhaps made me feel i have to always prove myself? who knows

I do try to keep my cool and most times i can but it feels real bad inside and sometimes I do become a bit of a git at losing

Dont feel bad mate we all hate losing...

Me my self tend to think that if someone beats me something fishy is going on, i do try to keep my cool most the time lol except once when my missuse beat me at an Economics module by 3 Marks i actually paid for a remark :p but its just the way some people are don't worry it takes time to control believe me...

Just next time you lose smile about it and say ' Hey i will normally whats a few times of lose... '.

:)

I know what ur saying

I always think that something fishy is up as my first question will be "How the..?" whether it was just luck or what

The key thing to instill is where/when/what in life to be upset about losing.

It's interesting, but I bet more would be upset over Fifa than losing a Math exam.

One is recreation, the other can add 1000s to ur pay check.

I would be disappointed if I did fail an exam but I think my mentality is if losing to someone or a group of people then I feel inferior which probably goes back to when others treated me badly at school

I will try and think "oh its only a game of football or an actual video game" but i think the whole thing is about me feeling less

I don't think anyone likes losing. My missus says I hate getting beat or losing an argument, and to an extent I do, but that's what drives me to improve myself. If I can't do something, I won't stop trying till I can. If I don't know something, I won't stop trying till I do know. It's learning to take a negative and turn it into a positive that's the hard part but best rewarded.

My mate whooped me at Guitar Hero, I play real guitar, and real games.. so I thought this will be easy. I was pretty annoyed. Of course its the games fault, buttons should be narrower the further up the neck if I am to be picky, and the flappy "string" is just crap... but I can be a bad loser. Its never my fault of course.

Its the game, its broken

Its the team, they are crap.

Its the internet, damn lag.

Its the keyboard, I pressed that button.

Never me :D

Computer games make me rage. Especially FPS games. I usually keep my cool in real life games, especially sports.

I don't think it's the losing that gets me, it's when I don't play as well as I know I should be playing. Or when the opposition cheat, or are bad winners, or just generally bad sportsmen/woman. Then they get the full force of my angry mumbling.

I hate losing, but only get annoyed when it's something I am good at (like football). Games sure I get mildly annoyed, but sports and stuff I'm good at, much much worse.

Education - never really got annoyed at it as I always did well. If I didn't do so well it was my own fault for not working hard enough, nothing to do with luck tbh.

I used to be an awful loser, but I'm better now - TBH it's good fun to see the winner's face when you go up to shake their hand after they've beaten you and they expect you to be really angry or something about it :)

I only get annoyed if I know I didnt do my best or close. If I did my best and lost then thats cool, generally means the other person has more time to practice and I can label them as sad to make me feel better ;)

ROFL I play guitar too mate and I think the game is sooo far removed from actually playing a real one. My missus used to whip me at it until I learned not to treat it like a guitar. ;)
