was messing around with Socket 3's and Socket 7's was all good fun. no one had money so there wasn't much point in trying to get top hardware so we all were modding our computers in our parents tool sheds on the weekends and after school. I do remember my accident with a AT power supply tho :S

im 20 if thats counts as being young

though i did start off when i was 14 fiddling with pc's, not everything went to plan then though

one thing Ive noticed on oc3d is that there is no dissing other people, which personally i really do like for example i was on overclock.net and i was getting abused by a 22 year old,:$ and nothing happend i told one of the mods there and that ******** has account still. everyones nice here thats why i moved to these forums

im 20, i started when i was about 14,

socket 462 and 478 was my area of expertese

best rig i first ever saw, the one that sparked my interest...:

AMD Athlon XP 3200+

1Gb OCZ

Dfi Lanparty Nforce 2 ultra

Nvidia 6800 Ultra (if you remember there was the 6800, the 6800 GT and the 6800 ultra)

cant remember the rest, but yea

I can remember in my Quake 3 Arena days drooling over servers with dual P2's in them. Damn Q3A was a good time...

Edit: I can also remember when modding meant taking a dremel and/or hole saw to your case.

Last time I saw that it was on our win 95 pc. Cost a fortune. 1Gb HDD, 16Mb of ram!!!

It was upgraded to windows 95 from windows 3.1.

Still have the floppy's for 3.1 in my room. May install it on a machine somewhere for teh lulz.

Well I'm 17, and I'll get pretty inactive as this year goes on, since this is my final year at school, and I'll be focusing on my studies, but if I get a good score, expect a Project log where I fully watercool my current rig,
