Any Wii U owners here?

If so, how do you rate them? I'm thinking of getting one today. I love Zelda games but I don't want it just for that. I own a Wii and I modded it so I could play games from other regions and such.

And bravo to GAME, the top navigation menu is pretty much inaccessible thanks to their FC4 link.

i heard rumors of a new one coming out you should check that out i dont own but iv played at my friends house and he is some what of a nintendo fan. its kind of a beefed up wii plays smash bros more smoth then the wii but for the most part the games are better and better looking iv seen games that use the pad for more than just a gimics cant recall the names other than zombie u and some super hero game that manly used the pad the community is the same the store is the same ssbm4 coming out for it and the newest handheld soo... pretty much it comes down to the games and how intrested you are in using the pad.

There's probably 3 games I wanna play, hardly worth justifying buying a Wii U for now. I will wait, there should be more horror games like the Resident Evil Remake. That was a classic.

I have one, they're pretty freakin epic actually :) very impressive for their size.

I've got Mario Kart 8
New super mario bros u
New Super luigi U
super mario 3d world
legend of zelda wind waker hd
and Donkey Kong country, tropical freeze

it's more than just a trumped up Wii, outputs 1080p and uses the on-controller display as a secondary screen very well and very intuitively.

Look for the new Zelda trailer to really see what the thing is capable of. It's all in game footage and literally made me buy a wii U :)

It's a great little console, the games are genuinely fun, well thought out and are great to play. there's a few gimmicks like the DS led 'blow on controller' stuff but you don't have to use that.
I bought a pro controller and I can happily say it's more comfortable to use than an xbox 360/one or ps3/4 controller, personally I think that anyway.

And yes, it has HDMI out and it carries sound via that as well, or via a standard wii a/v cable if you buy one.

Me and my housemates banded together this week and bought a wii u. We actually like it quite a bit.

We now just need to get a few Nintendo games to play. Can't wait for smash!
Also it plays Wii games at a higher res, so its a good time to replay a few wii games (smash bros).

I bought one on launch, it sat collecting dust for over a year. The WiiU is in a much better place today with firmware updates that greatly improved the UI. The loading times were absolutely atrocious before. I recently picked up Mario Kart 8. Haven't played too much, but its the best Mario Kart since the SNES IMO. New SMB is great, but I'm most excited for a proper Zelda title.

I got the Wii U at launch and was going to resell it but it wasn't very popular and so I kept it as a birthday present to myself and it has not disappointed. It may not have cutting edge graphics that people say should be in a next gen console but look at the Xbox One and PS4 and really they could be much better too. At least with the Wii U there are real exclusives that if you are a Nintendo fan you are going to be happy with what you get and then also despite what many think out there this console is not the Wii. It is the Wii U. It still has the motion gaming option but it also has the tablet controller which adds to gaming in fun ways at times like in Rayman Legends and also the tablet controller gives you a better way to look at inventory in games or at least a different way and I welcome different. I think it is funny btw that people complain about the controller having only a 5 hr max. battery life. Eh maybe you shouldn't be gaming so long?

Wii U> Xbox One for sure and as for comparing it to the PS4 well I think the Wii U offers something different than the PS4 so having both is a good idea.
