This is what iv put together so far....

If you can think of anything i need or should change then please advise.

Cheers guys!!! (cheers graham for helping me get this far)

The NF-S12's won't have enough airflow to be effective on that RAD imo. Some NF-P12's would be better. The rest looks pretty sweet mind :)

Im trying to keep it all to one site, p&p saves those precious pennies. rofl. Cheers for that though. Im going to be buying in the next week or 3 so i shall look around for them. Know of a good site?

I had an XSPC Rad for a while, leaked but I guess I was just unlucky. Didnt think the performance was bad, but not great either. They appear to be very similar to the older BlackIce rads from what i remember. Then again, better performing options such as Thermochill are waaay more expensive, so that rad probably gives good price to performance. As Kempez says you will need more powerful fans... you might want to get some fairly high airflow fans and put them on a controller if you need it silent.

As for worm drive clips... I find plastic ones a lot better, however they will work just fine, just my personal choice as they are a bit less fiddly and easier on your hands (wormdrive can be sharp)

Take out the temp sensor and radgirll for know dude. They're not really nessisary.

WcUK need to get them fans in stock kemp :p.

bin the s12s, some p12s, sharkoon 1000s, yate loons or sflex's would all be preferable

and 2nd what ham said

llwyd or graham...got any going spare then? :D

and i think i will go for the plastic clips. As long as they do them in black. Think it would look 10x better.

Do not run with the Noctua NF-S12's on your radiator. Whilst they are extremely quiet, they do not provide sufficient static pressure and air flow for radiator or heat sink work. I have just finished doing some performance testing on the NF-S12 and the NF-P12, and the numbers clearly indicate what has already stated here today. NF-P12 or even Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000 for the win!

ace. im glad i found you guys. just need to either wait for WCuk to get them in stock or shop elsewhere i suppose.

Cheers!!

Along the lines of rad cooling, how would the SilenX Xtrema 12cm fans fare? I want to cool the rad but blue lights and a low noise level would be preferential and these seem to be the best for the job specwise.

While I'm at it does anyone have any preference for thermal paste? I'll need some for my GPU block when the time comes, I have Zalman here but is it worth investing in some better stuff?

The larger SilenX 35mm (depth) will be OK, but the smaller ones that promise magic won't be good enough. QuietPC do the P12's I think, failing that get some Yate's or Sharkoon's

If you send Rob an email at the shop, or even post a message in their forum he should be able to get some NF-P12's in for you

Yup thanks PV..

The NF-12 Fans will be back in stock this week for you.. also the 120.3 Stripes grill you have there, those are already ordered and should be here Tuesday :)

if it was my purchase i would remove the resevoir and go with a t line setup. i would then remove the grill and get some far less expensive fans and then get a thermochill pa120.3 .

you can use very quite fans with this rad and it will blitz your temps right down.

it will cost you the same or less and be a far superior setup than the xspc rad .+ in the future if you decide to sell you will have ppl queing up to buy your rad.

just my opinion mate.

ps, i have a pa120.3 running with some cheep akasa 21db fans turned down to whisper quite and it keeps my Q66 g0 at around 40c and my 88gtx at about 40c under load.

Heh 'tis fine man, I bought a GPU block due TO those very temperatures. AquaPC selling the EK for £38 was certainly a bonus :D

im using an mcw60 on my 88 and a fuzion on my cpu with a d5 vario at setting 5. its really quite once all the air is bled out.

oooh shiney, although I'm not a fan of the bubbles :p

Looks like you're going all out on the performance front. What you gonna do with that lot when Intel change their socket post Penryn?
