G'day All,
Just wanted to ask does anyone on here have an S6/Edge and if so what do you think of it and any problems you are noticing as I'm thinking of buying one Cheers

I know a guy with the Edge and I've used it a bit. The screen looks fantastic and the build quality is amazing. I wouldn't get the edge though, as its a bit of a pain to use. Go with the standard version if you get one at all ;)

I have the S6, absolute solid phone in terms of build quality, and the OS and software. The camera is friggin fantastic to be honest.

I was originally going for the Edge but I decided I preffered the look of the normal version, and if you pay monthly its like £10 cheaper.

Thanks for the replies guy's can one of you tell me please how good is connecting to wi-fi as the S5 I have is friggin terrible cheers

I work for a phone network, up to now ive heard only good things apart from one person who come in with a battery problem, sonething to do with the fast charge function just shorted out the battery and fucked it up. But thats one person in about 300 sold so its not a bad problem :) s6 edge and the s6 are exactly the same phones, the only difference is the curve.

If you want to get technical on the specs here they are.

Android OS, v5.0.2 (Lollipop)
Chipset. Exynos 7420
CPU . Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 - so its stupid fast. Its called an octicore (two quad core working together)
GPU . Mali-T760MP8

Camera 16MP on back 5MP front facing. opens from lock in 0.7 seconds - takes a picture in 0.3 seconds.
Fast charge function - 10 mins charge will last 4 hours. 2 if youre watching hd videos.

Super amoled display 16million colours for amazing display quality.
Another good point is that the wireless charging is compatable with most of the wireless charging pads on the market. Not just samsung versions of charging pads.

*insert Good guy samsung meme here*

They cut down on the bloatware with the S6 as well, it should run smoother with less things hiding in the ram. It's gotten pretty good reviews from what I read. Nearly everything was 4.5/5 or 9.5/10. The CPU is made by Samsung, Exynos 7420, which from one website said was 20% faster than any Snapdragon 810 they ever tested and battery life was as great as any other phone.

I have heard good things about the S6 im just worried about having similar issues to the S5 but my telco wont let me upgrade till September without it costing me a fortune but the tech in store managed to change some settings to help improve things till then so i have to wait or its $1200au to upgrade which is too much sting for me atm.
But thanks for the info and i got to hold the edge and you guys are right it dont feel comfortable in the hand the plain 6 seems to be the way to go when the time comes so thanks again for the replies

I'm actually considering picking up an edge myself. I quite fancy trying something a bit different. I know the s6 is solid, and the edge will be odd but from what I hear it makes most people just go mmmm. :) Plus it looks nicer in my personal opinion.

I need to get off o2 primarily and this is going to be the phone that does it for me I reckon

The Wi-Fi is fine mate, was your issue it contnously disconnecting?

My S5 did the that but if I remember right, disabling Smart Network Switch disabled it. I have it enabled on my S6 and it works fine.

Yes mate it was it the guy at Telstra over here managed to sort that one for me and I do love the look of the edge but it did feel strange in the hand but since I have 4 months to wait I can keep going into stores and trying them before choosing
