Has anyone purchased this case? Is it a relatively quiet case? I leave my PC on most nights, and the missus will moan if it's generating too much noise.

Is this a good, cool case?

I've heard that it's awesome for the price. The huge exhaust fan up top keeps it nice and cool with all of the fresh incoming air off of the dual 120's in the front.

I think it's a nifty case, give it a shot! One problem I see with it however is that it doesn't fit the 8800GTX IIRC.

I'll be sticking with my X1900XT for a while yet, although I was (briefly) tempted by the 8800GTS. I didn't realise a few cards had problems with the case tbh.

It looks to be a bargain at ~£70. I was just worried that it'd be nice and cool but a bit noisy with all of those fans. I'm not sure about the look either, but that's the way down on my list of requirements.

It's definitely one of the best thermally designed cases IMO. The top fan should be very quiet, and if the 120's that it comes with are loud those are easy enough to swap out with some silent ones at a decent price.

If they use the same fans as my P180 (Tricools), they have a 3 speed setting. Low is super quiet, fair airflow and mid is fair noise level and good airflow. High is too loud for my liking though. They'd be stupid to use different ones imo as they are very good fans.

as the others said , IMO its a gr8 case for the price but i heard that dust is a major problem with this case but no ones stopping ya from gettin some dust filters! :P

thermally its pretty good, check some review sites and make your mind up, its what i do

Thanks for the comments - I've gone for it! Now I just need to find some dust filters... Where would I get them from?

i was too... until i found out about the Stacker 832 :D shame about the price tag of over double the price ... but still looks the bling for my new rig

this case is alot smaller than it looks

a gtx stops u using hdd bays its so small.. also the floor of the case is unuseable as the psu is there and wires

the top is taken up with a fan

good for a cheap aircooled case where internal space doesnt matter

also cleaning the case is a often accurance as its like a hoover sucking dust in so you need to get fan filters

I actually own one myself and I have thought of a nice little post to give you the pro and cons.

Pros.

* Excellent cooling, really it is

* Simply laid out

* Three tier fan system

* HD bays full remove for easy re-arranging

Cons

* BTX Factor means bottom fan is useless mainly due to excess cables unless your modular, now I removed the two top blank plates and moved both fans up two bays, then the blank ones was replaced at the bottom, this gave me more cable space

* The Window case is wobbly, honestly better metal should have been used

* Said before but their really is no-where to put cables in this case, it's murder with my power unit to keep the cables tidy and NOT mess with airflow.

Loving this case had it for a few months now :)

How have you done in regard to dust? My case hordes the stuff I have to spend a few hours per week cleaning it and couple a times a day giving the front vents a whipe.

Mine attracts dust like flys are attracted to..... fly food.

I bought some filters for the fans but they don't fit so that was a lil waste of money... Spose its just something i'm gonna have to live with.. Looks more than make up for the odd dust imo... just mine though :)
