i decided to start to mod my antec 300 for a window and some cable mangent.
i started off by cut the side pannel for a window.

I don't wanna be rude, but I agree. I hope that you have a straight edge (T square) in your tool shed.
A few tips.
Use masking tape, this makes it easy to mark out the cut. And also protect the paint work when you are doing the cut its self.
If using a jigsaw with a blade that the teeth cut on the upstroke.

Then mark out the window and do the cutting on the inside of the panel. Thsi will mean that you will have a nice clean cut on the outside.
If using a blade that cuts on the downstroke. like this

Then mark up your windows and do the cut from the outside. Again his will give you a nice decent cut.
When cutting get a cardboard box and stick the side panel on it, to do the cutting. this will stop the side panel from rattling and bending wile cutting.
Dremels are good. But a a nice jigsaw blade and a set up like above, is 10 times faster and neater. and you will hardly have to do any cleaning up of the edges.
Is the panel bent up or is that just the way the light is hitting the panel?
I would just make the window bigger , he still has the space to make a " decent " window .
