Another corsair 600t build

Lovely job so far. What tool are you using for making the round cuts in the metal?

Just a good ole dremel and some time. I first made a light cut just to put a groove in the metal then set my hand in one spot using it as a fulcrum point and just slowly went back over it. Its far from perfect but i was actually surprised by the results. I will probably get some u channel molding and put it around the edges just to clean it up a bit and provide some vibration dampening for the fans .

Tiny update its the little pieces that really kill you in a build im literally being held up by tiny pieces at this point it should be coming together quickly in the near future but mainly im waiting for the side panel . I want to get all the loop setup then get the plastics on and painted so people will get a better idea of the overall look.

That's pretty awesome! I've thought about doing this myself, but not sure yet since I don't
think I'll actually switch colors once I've set it to the one I like.

minor setback today I was finalizing how I'm going to mount the glass bottle in my case and have it float where I want but as I was tightening it down the bottle broke at the collar undoing all that work in away its kid of a blessing because I wanted to rework the concept knowing what I now know . Otherwise the case is disassembled and I'm cleaning everything and making sure the placement is right. I bought a new video camera so my next video update should be loads better.

I can imagine but after seeing your build logs i imagine in my head everything going together perfectly with absolute precision its a nice thought :P but never the reality.

Haha, I wish!

I will have an update for both builds over the weekend if everything goes according
to plan. One thing I'm about to redo on ZEUS is actually exactly related to what you
said: Knowing what I know now I can improve the result (I think ;)). But I've only found
out this specific technique this week while working on something for HELIOS.

I have the luxury of making things up as i go along seeing as how all the stuff i had thought about for 2 years prior to this build have already been implemented. Im just waiting on ordering another bottle and getting the holes cut and the fittings epoxied in. One thing i have noticed as i get closer to being done im coming up with a lot of cosmetic ideas that i think will look nice despite wanting this thing to be finished i realize little details become a lot more important.

Haha, yeah I'm familiar with that. Suddenly I'm bugged by things I didn't even know
I cared about until everything else was the way I liked it. It's a devil's trap!

So the project has gone stagnant i still have around 5 weeks until my acrylic side panel gets here and in the mean time im sorting out how to paint the case. I think i have decided on going with the maximus vi formula i like the feature set it has to offer and i think it will compliment my case so thats it for know im one order away from having my reservoir back in action i decided to go with a couple of the mods i had thought about before but they are becoming more troublesome then they are worth not to mention as im putting things together im redesigning mid build but this thing will get done and most likley within this year.

I won't have the best idea until I test the case completley assembled but my goal is for positive pressure but 400mm of fans is a lot of air to move but I suspect since there slower fans it shouldn't be an issue. And airtight this case is not lol.

Something beautiful came in the mail today. Long story short i flubbed up putting my address in the original order so i could have had this baby like 2 weeks ago but im a moron. Luckily Bill Owen from MNPCTECH.com got it to me a day less then they said the would and i can move on.

its almost mirror like from this angle sadly i had actually painted the accent pieces black but did not take a picture with the side panel in.

at this point i was just sticking things in there to get an idea how they would look .

here i have the accent pieces colored matte black and i put them back in to get an idea how they would look the second one is from the front view of the case.

i have yet to paint the top part and mount it i still need to figure out how im going to mount the fan controller in it once i have that figured out im going to start epoxying things and getting them painted.
