hello :)
few days ago i bought new hwadphones sennhizer game zero.
i understood that i need amp to take the true potential from the headphones
can you suggest me good amp with line to headphone and line for the mic ?

thanks very much

I don't think you need an amp for those headphones, but I know the FiiO E10K is a popular choice.

i do insert it to the front panel and it was awful.
then i insert it to the back panel and its sound better
because it gave more power
so i think maybe my sound card doesnt deliver what it need to so maybe i need amp

You'd need to run a 3.5mm extension cable from the pink output on the back to the side of your headphone amp. I do this with Sennheiser headset. This amp uses USB as it is a DAC too.

You can get amps that aren't DACs like these. I'm not sure what the go to is for these types though.

if you want to spend a moderate amount of money and you want to get something good then the soundblaster Z by creative is going to do the trick

Personally I never rely on output from the sound card alone. I like my music loud and powerful and my headphones to be driven to their max potential.

I'm not being a snob, it's just that no sound card ever has had the sort of power I like.

With home audio you are supposed to have an amp twice as poweful as your speakers. This means that you can drive them to their full potential without turning up the amp too much which causes clipping and distortion. You are ten times more likely to kill a speaker with clipping or distortion than you are with over powering it.

I would imagine the same philosophy is true of headphones, given that they are tiny little speakers.

I don't know if I'd recommend a tube amp for gaming, I've not heard one personally but have read that they have a specific tone that is best suited for music, can you confirm or deny?

Tubes are only on the pre amp stage.

It's one of the best sounding headphone amps I've heard, at any price range. Serious buckets of power too :)

The tone is excellent for gaming, most notably explosions :D but yeah, it's not a true all valve amp like the MK2 so sounds somewhere beteen valve and solid state.

it's true yeah, but sometimes the specs are just not right. I have an e10k powering 250Ohm headphones, I leave them on two and they are loud enough, no clipping or distortions whatsoever

If those headphones are beyers that's why. They are extremely efficient. But when you get a proper amp, you'll notice a big step up in quality(as I did)

Any setup for music listening (dedicated sound card, quality speakers), or semi-pro audio production (audio interface, studio monitors) is absolute overkill for games, unless you want surround sound. I would also recommend going for studio headphones, and then attaching some clip-on mic, rather than spending money on top headsets. That is if you want to spend 100+€ on your headset.

I'm rocking the Fiio E10k with HD Sennhiesers and I can confirm the difference coming from gaming headsets is night and day, once you go DAC with CANS you'll never go back.

So the fiio e10k iant a dac+amp?
I would like to get something good and lots of people suggest me the fiio e10k , bus i didnt understand how can i insert 3.5mm headphone line and also 3.5mm mic line together because i see only one insert place.

Like I mentioned, you'd use on board sound for mic.

So i just need to buy female to male regular 3.5mm extension cable. And it will do the job?
But i didnt saw any mic input on the thr fiio e10k inself only a big 5mm input
The fiio e10k are good? Or should i get something more expensive because it my first time to buy it

Plug in the headphones to the E10k. Plug your Mic into the pink jack on the back of the motherboard. If you do not have colors, it is the most bottom left jack with the microphone.

Do not overcomplicate it. It's very straightforward.
