I knew about the 32 core epyc but I'm sure someone at AMD said you can't get a 32 core threadripper

True for now. We might see a 20C version eventually if Intel keeps playing along with the core race. But I don't suspect a 20C+ SKU until Zen 2 architecture comes out

They did say that a 24 core should be possible though just to give Intel's 18 core the finger I suppose
