amd vs intel

hi guys, I currently have an am3 system with a phenom II 965, an asus M5A78l-M LX mobo and 8gb 1600 Kingston hyper x blu ram. i was wondering how much of a performance increase will a 1150 system with an i5 have over the AMD for gaming? and how smoother would it run with windows as i have never owned an Intel system?

I'll be able to answer this in a few days lol just traded my 1155 setup for an AMD and some cash lol old setup Z68 UD7 with a 2600k oc'd to 4.5. New Crosshair Formula Z 990fx with (for now0 a FX6100 currently running stock just about to dive into oc'n it.

Might be a few fps gains here and there but for the most part they'll be minimal difference.
