AMD new performance cpus on the horizon

AMD CPU´s are underrated...They are far Ahead but at this Time the most of us wants to have some "Gaming" Performance and like the Larger Bars in Benches.

This Step backwards is in my Eyes the wrong Direction because the Future will be more Multi Tasking/Streaming in every Room ....so we need some CPU´s like AMD did today...

But Yeah....my thoughts about...

I agree. I also would personally like, to see where the bulldozer architecture could go in the future.

far too early to tell.
i just want them to bring something competitive to the market. good for the industry and consumers

I can't say i believe this article, wccftech are not the most reliable of sites.
When they produce stories like this one, and take it seriously one would have to agree with you there.

Still, I reckon AMD have something in store for us enthusiasts in the future I'm willing to wait for another year or so to find out. Plus I'm not giving up on this quote all too easily yet.

"AMD are on track to catch up on high performance cores"

Potentially this? Who knows. Either way I hope AMD comes back strong, since bulldozer they have been behind, i long for the Athlon/Phenom days.

I really hope they bring something to the performance CPU segment cause Im a long time fan but unfortunately everything Ive seen tells me otherwise. Everything theyve said and have put out recently leads me to believe theyre dumping the performance desktop market completely and are going all in on the tablet/mobile/low power segment. I guess its a smart business strategy but it sucks for us PC enthusiasts. I mean theyre really going to let Piledriver ride from 2012 to late 2015??? Thats just pathetic. Intel will have released Haswell, Ivy Bridge-E, a Haswell refresh, Haswell-E and Broadwell by the time AMD can release ONE line?! Yeesh. Im probably going to jump ship to Intel when Haswell-E comes out later this year unless something from AMD appears on the horizon. Right now though, Im not to optimistic that AMD will ever bring anything to the performance desktop world again.

AMD aren't bad per say. Their APUs/SoC beats Intel in most if not all applications and games while drawing the same amount of power and on a bigger process node(this is for higher end tablets). Its just they probably didn't think things through well with their desktop/windows environment.

To be fair the Intel options until then aren't going to set the world on fire. I can see Broadwell being all about mobile again just like Haswell and the Haswell refresh is just another 100MHz from the looks of things. Haswell-E is the only interesting thing really but you can tell how that'll perform from looking at benchmarks now.

But yeah, unfortunately for the high end Intel is the one to go to. AMD only comes into the equation once the budget starts to get restricted, or... if you're a major AMD fanboy like me. ^_^

The new Haswell refresh is supposed to fix the TIM issue so when the K chips hit in June supposedly, youll be able to do some serious overclocking without using liquid nitrogen. :D
