AMD GPU Throttling

Morning All,,

Just wondering if there is anyway to stop my 6950 from throttling its speeds when the card is idle....

I got it overclocked to 900 in Trixx and sometimes after throttling the speeds get stuck at idle speeds...

For processors we can just change the power management options, Nvidia cards we can change to max performance in control panel..

So how do I change this in Catalyst ???????? If not in catalyst is there a reg hack ??

what speed is it getting stuck at?

try closing your browser and see if this sorts it out

Can't remember Trixx, but is there a 2D and 3D clock option/profile ? Set them both to the oc you want ?

went to bed last night and left the pc folding, powermanagment is set up to only let the screen turn off...

Woke up this morning and the gpu core was stuck on 600 / instead of 900 when I went to bed...

There is no 2d 3d option in trixx,, only thing I can see is ULPS,, what is ULPS ???

Check your power options in the windows control panel is set to Performance also and not Balanced or something.

Yep that's all done,, there must be some kind of power options hidden away in CCC.....

get rid of Trixx. Try afterburner.
