Just to point out, that ASUS software reports the socket temp, and not the actual CPU Temp itself.
Usually I'd like to say within these guidlines
Socket: 70c (But really it doesn't matter as long as it's stable)
CPU: 62c (Max, I wouldn't advise going over)
If you use HWMonitor, You'll see two temp readings, one is for CPU and that's the socket temp, you'll see that it's the same as the ASUS software. The next is Package temp and this is the temp you'll want to keep below 62.
Have a look in my sig, I've overclocked two FX 8350 Systems. One being at 4.9Ghz @ 1.41v and the other being at 5Ghz at around 1.5
Also the LLC on the CPU and NB Increase heat also, you'll want to play around to get good stability and good heat. But you should be able to clock 4.5 to 4.6Ghz and be in the safe temp zone.
