amd fx 6100

Ok I just saw it, it looks nice, it just needs work on the cable management. That's not hard to do at all, just tidy up the cables a little hide them where you can, the PSU cables should all go trough one hole, the wires from the H100i should all go up behind the radiator not to a side to one of the cases cable management holes. Keep the cables looking as short as possible, it'll give the inside of your rig a cleaner look.
Pretty good for a first build though, well done. Btw, how are you finding the 6100 to be?

yeah am gonna take the pci power connectors out, i was gonna get more powerfull gpu's but am gonna wait for the hd 8000 series to come out an build a new gaming rig round them an use the low profile gpu's i have to build 2 media center pc's. i will try hiding the h100i cables a bit later thanks for the feed back.

an the fx 6100 is great am gonna give it another go at overclocking it later but it is really got stock anyway, i just wanna give it a go see if i can kick it into overdrive haha

ok i have bumped the voltage up to 1.28 at 4ghz an am still getting 2 cores failing "illegal sumout" or something any ideas?

oh an the core temp jumped to 245oC

245C?? Are you sure? Ok, give me more info, monitor the voltage and tell me how the idle value and the full load values are. And bump the volts up a bit more... try 1.3V... if it fails go up even to 1.4V and if it's still failing it must be something else that is causing those errors. Watch the temps and monitor the volts and come back with all that info after every test, every raise of volts , everything, I need to know, so I can help.

yeah am sure it was only for a second or two but i was like wtf.

4ghz 1.3v idle temp 22c and prime 95 at 30c volts also dropped to 1.288v an got illegal sumout max warnings exceeded again on core 3 and 4

Continue with increasing the voltage till it stops giving you those errors. Come back with results after every test. like you did above :)

1.31 4ghz - idle 23c full load 30c volts dropped to 1.29 under full load same warnings on the same cores

1.4v 4ghz - idle temp 24c full load corsair like said 40c msi control center said 32c. was stable for a few minutes but then had a 156c spike in temp an the 4th core failed oh and the volts dropped to 1.39 when prime was running

Increase to 1.42V. The Temp spikes are false readings, it can't get that hot that fast all of a sudden and it should fry if it gets that hot.

1.42v 4ghz - idle 26c full load corsair link said 42c an msi control center said 32c, had one spike in heat again to 156 but no cores failed an i ran prime 95 on a balanced test for 10 mins

Well I think you should run "Small FFT" test for the CPU and make sureyou have your RAM timings manually set to the original specs and same goes for the voltage. it seems that you need higher volts than expected for 4.0GHz, but it could be also the memory failing the overclock if it's not set properly. Run the Prime95 for multiple hours ( Small FFT ).

i think my ram timing is set to auto in the bios man, should i hange it?small fft test with prime?

Yeah, set it to manual, open CPU-Z, go to SPD tab and see what the timings are there for the frequency you are using. Also set the DRAM volts manually to the RAM's specs. And yes Small FFT test with Prime95

Well I see you are using 1333MHz so the timings under the 667 MHz should be the ones that you should use. Here's an example:

But remember, it should be your timings in the SPD tab not the ones in the pic. Tell me your exact RAM model.
