AMD Fury Nano Performance and Power draw revealed

That's seriously messed up and anti-consumer, Pretty much all of Europe has a 2 week time limit so you can simply return it if you have changed your mind.

I know dude but were used to it, There are some places that do allow people to return items but that is when the restocking fee comes in, and the places who don't offer it the only other option is ebay to try and move it on.

You all need to group up and get it changed, That's like something out of the early 1900's

I seriously don't know where this will go at any price point. Seems they will have to drop the 390 and 390x prices to get this in. Otherwise if it arrives at the price of a 390x, who buy it? More power consumption and slower hardware? If they don't drop prices, it'd have to be a Fury Price but while it may be slightly slower, the advantages would come down to less power draw and less heat output which would be a huge selling point for ITX/MATX builds.

So neither demonstrations, petitions or other ways of voice one's oppinion has no effect in Australia?

EDIT: I'm referring to the change of that specific law.

Off Topic

Nope it will not change it, It's the law here and there is nothing that can be done about it.

On Topic

I don't think i will be able to afford one of these so it looks like i will end up getting the 390, but i do hope it's not going to be completely over priced here.

Your right it's perfect for MATX & ITX builds

Got a bit off topic there again guys, didn't you? ;) ...

I've actually thought of the same, that this card looks adorable and wouldn't just be perfect for ITX and mATX builds cause of the size, but also cause it has some power behind it :)

That's when you say "Okay gobs***e, Refund, Now!"

Any store that treats you like that is not worth your money.

If only that was possible, the last time I asked them for a refund, the store came back and told me they would only provide store credit.

Unfortunately we consumers in AUS have very little power and frankly, the stores can pretty much do whatever they want.

They told me they would get me my cards on their supposed next "shipment" the deadline is this Friday. If I dont get my Fury X cards, I am just going to open a PayPal case (the one thing PayPal is actually good for now days).

Mind you that this is one of the most "reputable" PC stores in AUS. Believe it or not, however some stores even charge 25% even if you return the item fully sealed and undamaged or opened in any way.

I knew you could explain it better than i ever could, Thank You :)

Guys, can't you though pretty please make a thread like "AUS consumer law" or something and discuss it there?... It does kinda ruin the topic of this one :(

Explain what? Sorry I must have missed it  was on the phone whilst typing the post.

Sorry Crazy, this problem with the store is making me a tad chrazey myself been calling them every day for an update and have been having to bottle up all my frustration with the store.

Edit: This one was intentional.

How is talking about the Nano off topic?

It's the perfect solution for ITX and MATX. I'd consider getting one if I didn't get a Fury X already and then completely going ITX just to prove how amazing it is. Sure it's good for any build, just exceeds best in SFF builds.

It wasn't aimed at you mate, I wrote it as an "overall response to the thread", so to speak...

Yah, you've putted out my own words already... been thinking of doing an ITX with this one in it, in the future :)

Still struggling to find a situation in which I'd personally want to use this card. Most (IMHO) pretty ITX cases support normal sized GPUs. It also doesn't seem like that much of a blower cooler which -could- cause issues in a tiny ITX build.

Looks great, its just a shame there isn't an ultra tiny yet windowed case that'd go really well with it just yet.

It would work with a Fractal Node 202 I believe. Should workout quite well.

Yeah and the Silverstone cases too its just that I couldn't put a pretty GPU like that in a place I couldn't see :(

MOD!:D

I do see your point, but I do believe there is a market for this card. Not everyone does care about the inside. Some people for example may get a Fractal R5 non window and want an ultra silent build and then get Fury Nano for it too. Or even a Fractal Mini for a Nano card. I could see that being popular.

Oh I agree there is a market its just a shame that the card is so nice. if they do a version which uses cheaper materials for the shroud (without affecting performance) and price it really well they've got a win-win.
