AMD demos their Ryzen CPUs and Vega GPUs at CES

4K 60FPS with a 1080 isn't a problem in BF, Lets just hope these come in at a decent price.

Apparently these are the settings used -

Yeah well that's a good start if they're around 1080 spec. I do hope they come in at a decent price. Would be even sweeter if the card running the demo turns out not to be their top of the line model.

True, Will be good competition for us, Hopefully will mean lower prices.

Show me the other resolutions.

Really not interested in 4k. Why the old game? what is wrong with the newer ones like Deus Ex that actually warrant a powerful GPU?

I agree. I dont care for 4k either. It is probably because that game is too demanding and cripples even the best of the best setups. Even if Ryzen showed the best results of all, unless it reports big numbers its not going to be eye catching enough. Probably why they chose an old game.

I am sure there are far better games to showboat the Ryzen CPU and still be a reasonably fresh AAA title.

Don't forget AMD stated that their CPUs will be "Very" competitive and their GPU to be "Very Very" competitive.
I am expecting Ryzen to be on par or slightly better than Intel clock for clock and come in about a 3rd cheaper and their GPU to be considerably better than nVidia and also be cheaper.
I just hope we are not disappointed again

Same here, I'd like to see 1440P resolutions both in 16:9 and 21:9 aspect ratios.

As nice as that would be I think you're being a tad too optimistic :p

Vega being VERY VERY competetive???? Hope so, and I hope they dont make them the same competetive as the Fury X vs 980 ti....

While Battlefront generally favours AMD, if this comes in at around $450-500, that's going to topple the 1070—albeit at a higher price—and fill the hole between the 1070 and the 1080. Then maybe we'll see a 1080 beater at around $600-650.

Even if it favors AMD, 4k 60fps gaming is still leaps ahead from where we were a year ago(ie 2015, to avoid confusion)

Oh yeah, it's still a really great leap forward. I might wait for something more powerful, but if the price is right then Vega 10 could be fantastic for AMD.

I'm going to take this with a pinch of salt for now and wait for the independant reviews

Lmao this is what i have said all along don't believe in house benchmarks wait for third parties to test.

I don't believe any of the in house benchmarks cause their all full of sh*t.

I just hope that we get some serious competition in the market place although it doesn't make sense for me to go AMD it will help to lower Nvidia's prices and to be fair they need a serious drop
