AMD Bulldozer, Llano Launch Dates Leaked

if i eventually do go down the bulldozed path, it won't be via the llano.

APU = yuk.

it is still too early for any of this hype to be believed by me

if i am going to make a super-PC with these chips, then it is going to have 'wicked' dedicated graphics cards

The good thing is, if bulldozer is good, we will be able to hang onto an AM3+ mobo for a long time, just upgrading cpu's as they come.

i made a mistake in the past when upgrading from AthlonX2 6400+ to the 1055T.

i went from a K9N SLI mobo to a M4N82 Deluxe. even though the AM2+ mobo was the best at the time of sale, i could never get the best from the phenomII chip.

i have said this before, and i will say it again.... i will wait until there is a true AM4 mobo on the market before i go bulldozer

the chips haven't even been finalised yet, and i think it will probably be next year (2012) before we see AM4 mobos with DDR4.

has amd ever released a processor that was over 400?

according to this the Athlon 64 FX-51 had a MSRP of US $733 back when it was better than Intels Flagship Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.2GHz (Reviews/benchmarks)

So AMD did the same back with the Athlon 64 FX-51 then as what intel is Doing now with the 990X (Intel's Current Flagship) Cpu

So if the Bulldozer Does in fact beat the the 990x AND Sandy Bridge it might just be up towards the 600s-800s, atleast Until Intels Rolls out with a Better performer (maybe Ivy bridge)

atleast thats what i think will happen.

true i forget amd is still a company and once they pass intel in performance they wont be the price/performance vendor

EDIT: FAIL

i thought even when AMD were ontop they didnt charge extortionate prices for what they sold, and for the performance it gave, i remember the FX-55 chip, that was a good chip.

the fx chips where the king of their day so amd could charge the earth for them and did. intel is only doing the same today as amd did then.

as for bd, i will wait till they are in wild before i make my mind up on them.

I don't mind upgrading, just as long as the upgrade stays good for at least a year. Don't wanna be upgrading my mobo again straight away coz the first range sucked

Makes sense that the company with the best performance charges higher prices, or that the company with slightly lower performance charges lower prices to maintain competitiveness.

I think Bulldozer has a lot of potential, but then so does Ivy Bridge. All will be clear soon I think.

that is like saying the diesel car CAN run on used vegetable cooking oil.

it may work, and be greener for the economy, but the performance is really going to suffer,

and...

the eventual upkeep will cost alot more!
