Was reading a post today that despite what AMD say that ASUS reckon that there Crosshair IV boards will be able to run the the FX processors with only a mere BIOS update.

Yeah, I know. Something about your post encouraged me to take a peek at your profile

After seeing which mobo your using it made me think of what I heard about the BIOS update.

I think my other post was misunderstood. I wasn't implying for a second that a board which could be configured to handle the FX processors through a BIOS update would in any way even match a board that had been designed specifically for the FX processors in any way.

In the post I was reply to, Fodr Kreatr made comment that he was concerned about the mobo’s that will be available at release may not be all that great. I only wished to point out to him that his board could already be capable of running an FX processor. This means that he could upgrade his processor to an FX processor and get more out of him current mobo and then wait for a mobo to be released that can get the most out of the FX CPU.

Personally I could understand why some people with the Crosshair IV boards may want to do that.
