I'm not seeing crazy hype for this product so I don't know why you have to be sarcastic. Mark's article just says "notable". That's hardly dramatic. And what I'm seeing from other outlets, most aren't expecting greatness.
Yeah, but I think the packaging costs aren't going to get cheaper while AI demand is high. The extra silicon isn't cheap either. AMD's undoubtedly making fat margins with these chips. That said, they can't be cheap to make. Would love to see that change though.
It will be good to see Intel have an X3D competitor, as it would force AMD to offer better pricing. ATM they have no competition.
It's not a 9800X3D upgrade, but it is a more appealing option for AM5 newcomers, non-X3D, and maybe 7800X3D users. That little extra performance may make some people make the move to X3D.

It is just a refresh. They never deliver huge gains. Regardless, as Tesco says, "every little helps". The 9800X3D is already great, and this is a little bit better.
