AMD/ATI GPU's

Hey I have a GTX 560TI Clocked at 950 MHZ. How ever this only supports dual screen display. I know that some AMD/ATI GPU's Support 3 monitor display as Eyeinfinity. Is it cheaper to get 1 AMD/ATi GPU or buy another 560TI to SLI.

If there are any Decent AMD/ATI GPU's that you know of less than £200 and support 3 moniter display then please suggest

6970s cost around £200 i think plus they have the extra VRAM

It depends, is your 560 the 2GB version? If not you'll have some massive performance hits while using triple displays. If you have the 2GB version I would say get another 560 if not I would go for like Ruthless said a 6970 or perhaps venture into the 7xxx series of cards.

No my 560 is only a 1 GB. id like to have 1 gpu with 3 monitors and ill watercool the gpu also

What sort of spec in gpu do i need to look for that supports 3 monitor display

Well assuming you sell your 560 and have the cash for another that gives you about £250. You can easily get a 7870 for that and maybe a 7950 if you can push the budget a tiny bit more.

I dont know much about AMD cards so if you can elabirate on the specs for me :/

Plus id prefer to have a refrence card to watercool

Specs per se, don't really matter at much - just because it runs at a faster processor speed doesn't mean it's better. Those reviews will give you a good clue about performance. The important bit to note is that as the resolution increases the 78x0 series cards pull away from the 5x0 cards and that is because of the vRAM. If you can stretch to a 7950 (which has 3gb or vRAM) you will be better off again (78*0 has 2gb and the 5*0 has 1-1.25gb)

Yeh I agree with M&P. The 7950 would be a very solid choice and when overclocked is just as fast/faster than a stock 7970.

6870 will support 3 screens and they are pretty cheap now.

But the 7950 only has 1 x DVI 1 X hdmi and then 2 x Display port, :/ are there converters for display ports?

6870 or upward would work fine. Make sure you get yourself and active DisplayPort adaptor so you can use more than 2way eyefinity. alot or cards will support 4 or more monitors if you can get Displayport Daisy chain monitors. with eyefinity you can only use either DP,HDMI,DVI or DVI,DVI, DP. You cannot use DVI,DVI, HDMI.

The 7870 or a 7950 would work great for you.

Anyway Sapphire tends to include all cables you need for triple screen. At least I know the 7970 does and the 7870 so the 7950 would probably do so as well.

Either of those cards would work great I think
