Alphacool Ceramic Pump - Question

Hey!

I have finally got my system together and was going to fill up the system.

but the I realized that the station that was going to power the pumps and fans form is only 3.5 volts.. I know! stupid mistake, but I just didnt think about that before now..

anyhow, now I cant get started because the conections on the pumps are 3 pin fan connector and I dont have anyhting that fits except the on the motherboard.

is it crazy-stupid to try and plug in the 24 pin and start the system with power to the MB, to fill the system, and is it possible?

Remove all cables from mobo/gpu ect.

On the 24 pin short the green and any black cable. That will jump start the PSU, as soon as you turn the switch on at the back of the psu it will start.

You can just un pin the 3pin molex and push the ends in to a regular 4pin molex, if you dont have a 4 to 3 pin molex adapter.

im not sure I follow..

the connector to the pumps is a 3 pin-connector with only 2 pins, a 12v and ground (if im not mistaken?) then just take the 2 pins out and connect those directly to the right pins in the 4-pin MOLEX connector?

that doesnt work.. I tried with the molex to 3pin connectors that I got with my noctua fans but nothing happened..

I dont really know what else to try?
I tried connecting a corsair fan with the moles adapter from noctua and it worked fine, but when I try that adapter with one of my noctua fans it needs a little push to get started?
I have the corsair AX750, 6pin connectors on that are all the same right?

Are you sure it come from Noctua fan box? ...dont member seen version with one.

Sounds like its for quiet fan, so it turns 12v to 5v and Noctuas dont start with 5v without push. ..and thats maybe why pump dont run eather, migth need 7v. Multymeter migth help here.

Edit: Look at the adapter where 3pin gets power, red or yellow -cable on molex? ..like so-> http://www.silentpcreview.com/article6-page1.html
Edit2: Oops all black cables? .. look the carefully the shape of the connector.

Then get multymeter to see what you realy are getting out, as Noctua should fly at 12v whitout kick stat.
