Hi all,
I just have a litle question about the bitfenixAlchemy Connect LED-Strip Red
Can I connect this to the 2 pin on / off button from the cm690 || advanced? Without any modding?

Without any modding - no.

I run mine on the CM690 from the button, but I did mod it slightly.

The connect strip uses a 2 pin connector, whilst the CM 690's is a 3 pin fan header.
Either way, they are both just push to break switches so you can just wire it up to make them work.

I used insulated screw connectors (if that's their proper name) and just botched the wires together. Dunno how keen you'd be to do that though

Mhm usually your power button starts your power supply and this powers the stripe .. so it will start when the pc is running, like the fans.

He means turn the lights on and off without turning the PC off.

The CM 690 has an LED on/off switch on the top of the case - he's wanting to wire them to that, so if he's watching a film for example he can turn them off.

Have a picture?

I cut the wires for the button and the power for the lights and just attached these so the the circuit is only connected once the button is pressed down.

I could have solded it for a cleaner job - but it's all hidden in the drive bays anyway, which is absolutely fine for me.
