Airflow & Dust Minimization

Hi guys,

In a bid to minimize the amount of dust my case sucks in here and my thoughts id like your comments back on.

Basically rather than the conventional suck air from the bottom and push up, I am thinking of inverting it so that air is pushed out the bottom.

How do you think this may work?

My thinking is it wont suck in the dust that floats onto a desk - but then again it probably will suck in all the dust floating around.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

The thing is that heat rises upwards so thats why you extract it from the top. If you're extract it from the bottom your fans would be pushing against the hot air instead of going along the natural physics of the air.

I would suggest dust filters with the intake fans, now you can either purchase them or go ghetto with them, you can see this thread of how I did some ghetto dust filters, http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=53803&page=3, if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask :)

My thought is to buy a roll of the filter material and fit it into all the panels with vents.

What do you think?

Should make it easier to clean.
