Air 540 Fan Question

Hi all,

Got my Air 540 hopefully arriving tomorrow for a complete new build. To go with it I have the following:

Corsair Hydro Series H100i CPU Cooler
Corsair Air Series AF120 Quiet Edition Case Fan Twin Pack x2
Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition High Airflow 140mm Fan x3

Could someone let me know what will be the optimum usage for the air flow. H100i will be push pull and I will assume pull the air from outside as iut will be cooler and therefore the back fasn will be the exhaust.

Sound about right?

No mate the H100i should be exhaust - in the front and in the back - out of the roof.

Thats how I would set mine up anyways - maybe still a fan filter on the rear fan if you want to keep the dust down

Maybe should have mentioned that I will have 2 780Ti with reference coolers if that makes a difference.

Yes, once I get the case and measure, I will look for some generic magnetic filters if none get released shortly for the case.

Just to add my two cents,

I used to have my H100i as exhaust and all the other fans as intake for static pressure. However I switched my H100i to Intake and the rear ran as exhaust and I saw lower thermals on the CPU as it's not drawing warmer case heat trough the radiator, and not much increase in case / other hardware temperature.

Maybe worth the experiment to find what suits you best

Are the 2 twin pack AF120's for the H100i? If so, shouldn't they be SP120's for static pressure?

Linus on Youtube did a test with the H100i and the SP and AF fans, 2 x SP fans set to push and 2 x AF fans set to pull, Apparently a few degrees better than having all SP's
