After 2 Years... OC3D Forums get a FACELIFT!!!

Hi Guys,

No doubt you will have seen the massive changes to the OC3D forum layout this evening. This was originally due to be performed when the site design was changed last year, but I never got around to it.

Obviously its going to take some getting used to, and some of you probably won't like the fixed width layout, but it's designed to fit seamlessly in with the homepage, and this is the only way we could do it elegantly.

Some parts of the forum aren't yet updated and some images may still be missing or left-over from the old design. I'll get round to these shortly.

Hope you likes :yumyum:

I quite like it, nice and neat. Going to see how it fairs on my EEE's 7" screen tomorrow. Hopefully still legible on that! :)

Nice one!

I prefer this style to the old one, although I am running a very high res (1900x1200 or something) the forum width isnt too thin and I much prefer the new theme.

Well done Jim!

Instead of the white background, could it be a blue. Because the white burns my eyes. I am on about the main background, behind everything.

If you really cant put up with the white background why not just resize your browser window so the page fits in perfectly.

Looks nice, somehow a bit more modern and less blocky.

Also a lot brighter with the white background.

looks weird but I like it. Gonna take a while to get used to the fixed. Preferred it stretch :p But it looks great

looking nice

BUT.....why cant I clear the posts at the top of the page anymore.I know have 12 pages of posts showing and theres only 6 i have not read

Yeah that's annoying me too. The new forum software combined with a change to the settings better tracks what threrads you've read and not. It should even retain unread threads if you move between PC's during browsing.

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to create a "clear" option yet.

Am absolutely loving the new forum look Jim :yumyum::worship: The inclusion of the fixed width and colour tweakage makes the whole site seem connected now. Well done mate and thanks for your efforts in getting it sorted :)
