Adding new RAM to over clocked system

Hi,

Recently I bought an overclocked bundle from Aria.co.uk, it came with 2600K overclocked to 4.8Ghz, a MSI P67A-GD65 motherboard and 4gb of Mushkin Blackline RAM.

If I buy another 2 sticks of RAM which is identical to what the PC already has, will this affect the overclock of the system in any way, for example would I need to re-do all of the settings or would I not be able to get as high of an overclock?

Since its incredibly cheap at the minute to buy some RAM, and since my computer is using 98% of the RAM during BF3 lol

Thanks

it may affect it but I doubt it as its prolly not highly oc'd I'd say go for it and see. In most cases filling all the slots can affect the oc. But those are set for stable oc so again I doubt you'll have issues. dont know if ya checked the world record oc but that was done with a single stick of ram for stability and they also disabled 6 threads IMHO not a record at all if you disable 3/4th the processor lol anywho I digress.

while it shouldnt be an issue it might effect stability yes, you are doubling the workload on the imc and that might cause it to crash. nothing that a slight increase in voltage wont fix tho, or you could drop mhz at the same volts.

you will probably need to increase vccio(memory controller voltage)... however it depends on the behavior of the imc itself, and that can vary with chip to chip. Are you speaking of ocing ram? with cpu... it will probably not be affected since 4.8 isn't that high in the first place. If ram is already overclocked.. increase vccio as needed. (using 2T for command rate will also be better for 4 dimm arangement) but you will lose bandwidth that way.
