AdBlock vs ABP

Hey guys,

So first off I know about how you all feel regarding this, but to put that aside for now, this is more of a question regarding these 2 adblockers.

Aside from OC3D, there are other sites etc that you can visit which uses ads and which you'd want to get rid off, hence these extensions.

Now, I'm on Chrome and I've tried searching around and see which one is best and thought I'd ask you guys as well, to see what you guys think?.

Which one do you prefer or run, and why? Adblock or Adblock Plus?.

Again, this has nothing to do with OC3D, but more of a general use of it and more specific towards it's impact on both different ads and computer/browswer resources.

As one site I found mentioned that Adblock, specifically on Chrome and if you use lots of tabs, it's known to make browsers sluggish at heavy load.

For example, what do you guys say about this?

Regards,
Chrazey

I do have ABP installed but also have quite a large whitelist, its not there to block all ads just for ease of internet viewing especially trawling for news and reviews as it cuts out all the garbage and pop ups. The only site I feel actually benefits greatly from ad blocking is failbook.

I have this installed on Firefox developer edition and also Opera developer edition too.

If people want to block ads I see no problem with that, what they should be aware of though is that some sites rely heavily on ad revenue and in the long run it will effect the running of those.

I use Ublock Origin on Chrome, Really easy to use, If you want to whitelist a site you simply click the little icon on the toolbar, Click the big power button and it turns off Ublock for that specific website and it's really easy on resources.

wow not tried this before, it's markedly faster than ABP or AB
