im running an 8800gts on an old AM2+ GB board at the moment so i dont think id struggle with a later AM3 board with 1 card

Appreciate the offer Dug, but im looking for a DDR3 board as its substancially cheaper memory at the moment

tbh with that i was thinking about benching purposes aswell as folding

still a bit on the high side for me though, im aiming for £60ish for a mobo and some memory to get it folding

i could put it in an old case an sell raffle tickets for it, and get more than that (which i may end up doing)

i even got some old opticals, a freezer 7 pro to go on it, and a 8800GT 1gb, and a IDE HDD

ahh you misunderstood mate, i wasnt asking for it at that price i was referring to the CH4 being a little out my price range as id like a mobo and cpu for around £60 all in rather than just a mobo for £75

A 2nd hand mobo and cheap RAM from Aria (2GB for £15.95!) - very do-able mate
