So here's what I've used growing up starting from the very first pc I ever used, all the way up until the present. Obviously learning a lot along the way.
Compaq Presario. I don't have actual pictures of the real machine, and I was too young then to really know how to use it lol. These are pics of one that was similar to it.

emachines desktop combo, crt monitor. Windows XP. Again no actual pictures of that specific machine. When it died I remember the smell of something burning, most likely the psu blew up.

HP pavilion desktop p6210f AMD Athlon 620, 6GB DDR2 ram, nvidia integrated gpu 9100 (later upgraded to nvidia geforce 210 gigabyte dedicated graphics after integrated failed). WD Caviar Blue 640GB hdd (upgraded to Seagate Barracuda 1TB after original failed) Viewsonic 19” led monitor 1440x900p monitor. windows 7

custom pc. Gigabyte 990fx ud3 with AMD phenom 965, 8GB DDR3 ram corsair vengance lp, nvidia geforce 550ti evga ftw version, 1TB WD Caviar Black hdd, hyper 212 plus, corsair carbide 500r, AOC 21” 1920x1080p monitor windows 7. I later gave this machine to my brother to use for gaming.

I bought this while in school as a portable powerhouse for photo and video production. Macbook pro 2011 17 inch, core i7 sandy bridge i7 2760qm, 8GB DDR3ram, AMD Radeon HD graphics 6770m, 750GB hard drive. Lion 10.7

Hackintosh custom pc. intel gateway oem motherboard, intel core 2 duo e7500 (later upgraded to q8300), 8GB DDR3 ram, Nvidia Geforce 7900 gs, 500GB WD Caviar RE hdd, Dell 2001fp monitor 1600x1200p, Coolermaster case. snow leopard 10.6

then I sold my macbook pro and went back to a desktop machine for my productivity needs. Hackintosh custom pc. intel gigabyte z77x up4 th. intel core i7 3770k (later delidded and oc to 4.4GHz), 16GB DDR3 corsair vengance pro, Nvidia Geforce 660ti msi power edition (later upgraded to 670 gigabyte windforce edition), 120GB intel 520 series ssd, (2) 1 TB seagate barracuda. Phanteks cpu cooler, Fractal Define r4, Asus pa248q initially, then switched to (2) Dell u2410 1920x1200, mountain lion 10.8

Asus p9x79 pro, intel core i7 3930k (oc to 4.3GHz), 32GB DDR3 Kingston low profile, Nvidia Geforce 770 reference design, 250GB samsung 840 evo (later switched for a 850 pro), (2) 240GB intel 520 series ssd, (2) 1TB seagate barracuda. Noctua nh d14, Fractal Define r4, 1 Dell up2414q 3840x2160, 1 Dell u2410 1920x1200, mavericks 10.9
