Hello Hello All
,
-snip-
This is my first time posting here, and due to the great community posts and replies i have seen, and so I've decided that the feedback/criticism from here will play the biggest role on my final decisions. (I've also seen a lot of various videos done by Tiny Tom)
My main goal with this build is mostly gaming, but i do happen to work on this PC as well. In terms of budget, i can't say i have a limit but my subconscious won't let me go All "Titan Z" on the new build. I'm patient with up coming new releases, but i don't want to wait too long otherwise I'll fall into the "But this is coming up!" time vortex. I'm also addicted to Mint Green tea.
I currently run 2x 23" Monitors @ 1080p and 60hz, but my new build will be focusing on 2x 27" Monitors @ 2560x1440 and at least one of the monitors with 144hz (I tried it, and i can't resist not having 120/144hz for gaming).
Here is how far I've gotten with my build:
1- CPU: i7-2600k (Used from current build) -> Till the Haswell E is launched Q3-4, 2014 (8 core CPU)
2- Motherboard: asus-motherboard-p8z77vlk -> Will be changed with LGA 2011 once i got the new Haswell-E CPU
3- Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory
4- Storage: Samsung 840 Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
5- Storage: Western Digital WD Black 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
6- Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card (2-Way SLI)
7- Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card (2-Way SLI)
8- Main Monitor: Asus ROG Swift PG278Q
9- 2nd Monitor: Samsung S27A850T 27.0" Monitor (60hz, not finalized)
10- OS: Windows 7 (Used from current build)
11- Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
12- Case: Slightly undecided, but probably Corsair 760T Arctic white.
1. Is the PSU Overkill? I will probably end up OC'ing the GPUs, and CPU.
2. Is there any way to confirm 100% that having 1x (120/144Hz) monitor will not be effected by a second 60hz monitor with Nvida control panel?
3. If i go with the A. Corsair 760T, or B. Colossus Windowed, or C. CM Stormstryker XL. Will i have any heating issues?
4. taking into consideration question number 3 (if the answer is yes) What kind of further cooling methods should i apply to sustain my GPU and CPU's temperture?
5. Does this seem like a solid build? Or maybe somewhere can be improved on?
6. Cheesecake (With any topping) vs Chocolate cake, which would you choose?
