A computer for Starcraft 2

ok i have around 600 - 700 pounds to buy a new computer and i want to build it myself. the computers main tasks will be to write essays and playing starcraft 2. i have no idea on what hardware would be good to put in it all i know is starcraft 2 can be a strain on your CPU at 2 cores but i have no idea if i should buy a intel or amd and what motherboard and GPU. sorry for rambling can someone help me??? (i have a decent monitor and mouse/keyboard)

plz suggest a build for me
 
i would do this

i5 2500k £160

Msi P67A-GD53 £103

4GB Mushkin Silverline £35

Corsair TX650W £65

CM 690II advanced £65

DVD-RW £10

Samsung f3 1tb £40

Gelid tranquilo cpu cooler £25

EVGA SC Gtx 560ti £180

Creative Soundblaster audigy £20

Total: £720 (added up @ aria) and i dont think i missed anything out
 
prolly something along the 2500k series would work as well as an amd AM3 setup can prolly hit within ur budget with either but prolly less with the AMD way

but the 560Ti's oc like crazy lol my 570 isnt a bad oc'r but the 560 was over 1GHz core while my 570 is over 837core but the extra cuda cores makes it worth it

would that be a good build or not? it is nearly the same but with AMD and should i just get an AMD graphics card with this like the 6870 or something ?(thats what a friend recommended to me)
 
The difference betweern the 560Ti and the 560 are the Shader Processors.

Ti has 384 and the normal 560 has 336.

If you want AMD Gpu than go with 6870 or 6950.

the intel build is better. am3 is dead soon due to bull dozer, so go intel
 
i want to get the white 690 ii but i think putting a dvd drive in it will ruin it (is there a way of installing windows onto a pc without using the disk drive or should i just install it then take it out when im done?

You can install windows using a flash drive.
