following on from my 01 bench yesterday http://www.extremeprometeia.com/forum/showpost.php?p=60347&postcount=224 i have been researching how i can make my box go faster, my problem is i hava an asus a8v deluxe rev 2 and bh5 ram (geil ultra-x 3200) now my asus wont go above 2.8v on the memory voltage so the bh5 aint working properly. cant work anymore as shoulder is borked so i am looking for ways to make this ram go faster at 2.8v or some cheap ram that will give me better ooomph at 2.8v. any ideas

would be willing to swap my board out if i can find something as good at a reasonable (blooming cheap) price, just wish i never got rid of my ocz gold now

thickie mate pm me ur email addy so i can add u to msn

cheers

Volt-mod? DFI board? TCC5/TCCD/Hynix-D?

You probs didnt need told that those are the options for better RAM performance, but there ya go :)

On a more serious note, mind if I ask what your plan B is to stop your shoulder from holding you back? :) Hope you heal up? :)

only volt-mods i have seen are for the rev1 boards, people have said they wont work with the rev 2. i think a dfi board is my best option, wish i had stuck with intel now :D

if you read the hard forum they gave away a fx55 and mobo a few months ago and i was one of the 5 winners YAY ME not. I was unwell and not around a pc for 3 2 months so they reallocated my prize gutted so it looks like i gotta plod along with my old 939 kit for a while longer yet
