A better Gaming rig for the money?

for a gaming rig.Personally I think he would do better getting a core 2 duo, or a core 2 quad.

The cpu isn't limiting at all, the graphics card is: 9500GT. If he really wants to game he'd have to upgrade his gpu.

Agreed with Monkey, that GPU is terrible. Although being the Intel "fanboy" I am..

I'd spec him something if I was you. If you need help with that we shall help to our best we can. Give us a budget and we shall work around that.

He could simply select the 4850 upgrade option as that card would have some decent performance with that resolution monitor : )

tell him to use pcspecialist.co.uk

better prices, far better support. Cub247 are wierdly priced and theyre customer service was shocking when i was looking at buying a rig from them. pcspecialist frankly have the most outstanding customer service and price for custom prebuilds i can imagine.

The 4850 will be much more pleasant that a 9500.

just build one yourself, if you end up upgrading then you would of paid for an 9500 on top of your rig, if you build it yourself you will have everything you wanted and cheaper too.
