Hi all. I'm thinking of buying this today : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...V/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (PVT80FSHF9)

asus p5n32-sli premium motherboard is my what i have.http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2076

And this is my case: http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis/midtower/soprano/vb1000bws.asp

i just need to know if the case and motherboard are compatible for me to buy the card. By the way i'm upgrading from a 8500GT because it's bottlenecking my PC. I have quadcore q6600 and 4gb ram etc n i need new gfx! :)

Note: This card is 275mm in length so make sure it fits in your case! Also the cards require PCI-E x16 slots, they will not function in a x8 slot so for SLi you need dual x16 mainboard. Finally 500W minimum for PSU and 600W+ is recommended. it says this for the card though and i'm not sure how i find either of these out cos can't see in specs. thanks in advance! :worship::worship:

I already have that motherboard, im trying to see if the GFX card is compatible with it and the case!!

The card "should" fit, however, if you already have the case, grab a ruler and measure the distance, move your hdd up or down if it is inline with the pci-e 16x slot, to create more room.

The card will work flawlessly with that mobo, a friend has it and he has had no problems with the combination.

ok cheers im contemplating my finance at the minute see if its worth it. Do you reckon graphics cards will be going down in price in the next 4/5 months?

You have no problem with the case and 8800GTX, I got one before. You quite quick to decide the board, I would go for Intel chipset, it far better, I got the same board but 680i chip set, its run like a snail...You could get some used 8800GTX for save your some cash.

You should get that GTX considering that I saw that exact GTX on eBay (Buy It Now) for £200 and I was that guy needs a damn slap up the face. It was not a wholesale only 1.

With that money you could just about cough up the ATi 4870/4850

You mean buy a second hand 8800gtx? And as i said i already have that mobo. Don't know about the ATI's they work out a good bit more expensive you know.
