So, I happen to have a pc setup to take the strain whilst I do some upgrades to something else.
It's time to shift the harddrives and I notice the mobo tray at the rear isn't just hot - u could bearly touch it.
Just for the hell of it, it's got the 8800GT for a display and I figured run F@H on it. I knew the card ran hot, so perhaps 75% would be ok.
But the heat, it's quite beyond.
Reaching around for the drives, yanked them out, rehoused them. Out the corner of my eye I notice theres a flappy thing on the shroud of the 8800.
For some reason it must have gone out of my head completely to remove the clear plastic film that covers the card !
ffs. Just a bit cooler now.
