7970cf to 980?

So guys, looking to upgrade/switch from my two 7970s to a single 980.

Is there anywhere that shows a direct compassion vs these two setups?

Sorry if it's in an obvious place on the Interweb. Is there much if any performance upgrade? I know it'll be cooler, quieter and use less energy. Was thinking to sell the two cards for around 200-250 for both if I can get that on eBay then the difference isn't too bad?

Ugh all the new gpu threads...

Its not worth upgrading. 7970s in Xfire are very good performance wise. Probably better off waiting more till Xmas comes around and see what AMD has to offer. Prices will drop and you can get aftermarket cards. Its all up to you in the end however. I'm just telling what I would do. I'm rocking a single 7950 and run all my games fine even at stock clocks. I don't plan on upgrading for a long time.

It's the time when something new and shiny comes out and people flock to it! Like me! Haha

If it's even slightly better I may go for it to move away from crossfire and get the heat and power right down

Yep... I personally would. Then maybe later go with a second one. :)

Wait for the 980ti or whatever they will call it? It's like an eternal waiting game. I also actually really like the look of the stock cooler. And reviews are showing temps are well under control and it's really rather quiet!

Just need to find a better comparison site before I take my rig apart and start selling bits!

This, Yeah sure it will cost a bit more but then you will get the best single GPU card Nvidia has, Can't really class Titans in the same category if they come out with another version as they are glorified compute cards.
