Has anyone seen a comparison of the performance of the 7970 to the 7950 when both are properly overclocked (as in not some 100 MHz factory OC)
I know I can dig up overclocked benches for them individually and compare but differences in driver versions and test rigs make a direct comparison difficult. I have seen 7950s OC'd to the point where their performance exceeds that of the 7970 but I was wondering if the 7970 would go proportionally higher or when OC'd the two would be of comparable power.
The more I think about this the more I get the impression that the difference in performance wont be very big but it would be nice to have a reliable comparison to back this up. I am intending to W/C so temps/noise from OCing isnt an issue to take into account.
