7950 bad fps

Hehe I know how that is, mine is under my GPU too, I also have a jumper there that i use, maybe you have one too, I am not sure.

Hey this is how to do it.
Clear CMOS

There should be a few pins at the bottom of your board... there is a blue jumper in the right bottom corner of your motherboard.. you just neet to pull it out and connect the middle pin with the right pin this time and leave it there for a while.. and then put it back the way it was and plug your pc and simply boot again.

alright i reset it, i've already disabled all the energy saving nonsense and it boots. will apply the old overclocking stuff now and i will try to find the lowest voltage possible. this time with a 0 between the . and the 5. also i just wanted to mention that this is actually quite fun and not frustrating. and i found the jumper, luckily.

Yes I agree with you, it's fun but kinda time consuming if you don't have enough to spare to do this kind of stuff. Still fun though.
Now try to set the Voltage at 1.44V and prime it till it crashes... hopefully it won't crash.

Yeah, well that's how you learn, making mistakes and doing a lot of resetting and uninstalling, installing, re-formatting and so on... more than you would do gaming and etc.

it says my windows installation is invalid. i'm validating my key again (yes i actually bought my OS)
/edit/
it won't let me validate it. well. i can still do everything i need to do, so i will just keep overclocking and then i will reinstall windows

as soon as i start the torture test it goes to 1.48V. no idea why. also when idling it switches between 1.44 and 1.45V.

okay i will start posting pictures again. give me 2 minutes, my phone just died and i need to upload the pics to imgur

There is something you forgot to set.. have you set the loadline calibration to Enabled? Turn off any power saving feature. try to remember the settings you had before the CMOS clearing

it is indeed enabled. i set all the energy saving options to what they used to be before the reset. the LLC was my first thought as well. will turn it off.

idle

load

that would explain why the other voltages didnt work. too much voltage drop under load
i will run it for a few more minutes for the temps

Yeah there seems to be a drop in the voltage there, and you need to find out why, cause you need it to run at the same voltage load and idle Think what was different before.
I think 1.45 is a justified increase in the voltage.

no there is only manual and offset. i set the voltage to 1.46, but the monitor still shows 1.44 and cpu-z shows 1.45
