780 TI: ASUS Direct CU II vs EVGA Classified

It's not mine pictures. This is only to show you what mean NEW HADRWARE AND HOW THAT NEED TO BE PACKED TO RESPECT SOMEONE WHO PAY ALMOST 1000 FOR THAT NOT AVAILABLE TO EVERYBODY TO OPEN AND READ ASIC AND CLOSE.
I will post other when card arrive these days.
I will prepare nice cam for that.
Because what GIGABYTE, ASUS, MSI pack that is not new for me, I pack better when go on some birthday and give present to someone. That is culture and respect someone who pay for that.

Ah right, well you weren't too clear about it :P. Don't see anything too special about the packaging though... Then again evga don't spend ages on designing packaging.

-edit-
I need to get a proper cpu so I can start benching. I was planning to eventually work my way up the 8320 based list on firestrike extreme but I don't own 3 7990s that the top scorers all use (although the scaling for the gpus must be awful).

Bad scaling !? Doesn't matter ! Think of all the frames, HE HAS ALL THE FRAMES !!!! ^_^

And all the driver headaches :s. quadfire is a pain so you'd imagine 6x 7970s would be even worse D:. Also literal headaches if they use the stock 7990 coolers. They loud, yo'.
I'mma get me 3 280xs and beat them all ^_^.
someday.

Are we still talking about 3dmark Firestrike Extreme, the most GPUs you can use is 4.:)

When ever you can afford it get another 280X for X-Fire, Having 2 powerful GPU's in your system feels great :)
I really want to :(. Its just that the prices are even higher since I bought mine. My fault for getting another AMD 'card just as bitcoin started picking up in popularity I guess. Heh, I was so close to going for a 770 as well but the price of the 4gb (ironically) seemed too high for my liking.

And yeah Kaapstad. I know 4 is the max but look at the scores. 3x7990s. I guess I'm right in thinking that AMD cpus are bum for firestrike?

AMD CPUs tend to take a hit on the Physics and Combined tests on 3dmark firestrike which is a bit unfair as these tests have very little relevance to gaming and real world use. The latest AMD GPUs on the other hand go very well on firestrike and give huge graphics scores.

I did this last night testing out the water blocks on my 290Xs, the cards were not flat out and can go higher.

Check out the graphics score.:D

Looking at the scores you have listed, I think what has happened is the guys are using a HD7990 and a HD 7970 for trifire. 3dmark firestrike counts a dual GPU card like a GTX 690 or HD 7990 as 2 cards.

Nice programme score.
If I didn't like travelling every 2-3 months I would have more in my rig, But I just love seeing other countries too much :p

Oh right, i wondered if that was the case (-edit- oh yeah AMD cpus only support 3 gpus, whoops). Yeah I gathered it didn't like my cpu when I unlocked the achievement on the steam version that said my gpu was let down by my cpu. Its a shame though, as some amd cpus are excellent little beasts. The 9590 for example, while still slightly over priced can actually hold its own against a 3930k in streaming at 1080p (tech syndicate said they'd show the benches soon). Is there any benchmark that AMD cpus have a chance of keeping up with intel or is it hopeless? Sorry for the questions I'm a noob and I really want to get into benching, albeit not spending a large amount :s.

All the 3dmark benches are out as they use Physics and Combined tests. What some of us do is compare just the Graphics score from these benches as they are closer to real world performance in games than including the Physics and Combined tests.

On the Unigine Valley and Heaven 4 benches it is easier to compete as they are all about the GPUs. All you need from the CPU is high clockspeeds to drive the GPUs.

Oh cool :D. It explains why my rig can keep up with similar intel equipped rigs (just about!) in heaven. As soon as I get my psu back its OCing time ^_^

Welp. That must be some power draw :O. I knew the 290x were greedy but, oh my :s.

I have not measured it but it must be getting close to 1800 watts when flat out. I tried running 3 cards in another PC with a single 1200i Corsair PSU and the cards were too much for the poor PSU when overclocked.

bahaha, oh noes . Yeah I've noticed the 290 on air is a bit power hungry so I'd imagine 4 290x OC'd to hell must drain a small powerstation's worth of energy.

Fortunately with the 290s cards not using CF connectors if you don't need them all for games you can very quickly deselect them in CCC and just use 1, 2, 3 or 4 in CF. You can even pick which two or three cards you want to CF.
